Default Motorola ROKR E6 and H350

was having the SLVR L7 with the H350 Headset and everything was working fine including the Bluetooth (making / receiving calls, streaming music, and also multimedia) till i traded the Z6 for ROKR E6 a few weeks back. Since then i have tried hard in vain to get the E6 to stream music to the H350 headset, but it seems it is worthless to try the same.
When i spoke to motorola they said the headset does not support the A2DP profile and hence can't stream music.
In contradiction my colleague bought the Z6 a few months back and when i tried to pair my BT H350 it pairs and also plays the music thru the headset. I believe both the Z6 as well as the E6 has BT version 2.0 with A2DP, then why is it that the E6 can't play music thru H350 whereas the Z6 can.

I took my Handset alongwith the Headset to the service center and they were finding it hard to believe my story and claimed that the Z6 also can't play music thru the headset. So they gave me a Z6 handset to check the same, and to my surprise their headset could not play the music thru my headset.

My guess here was Motorola is trying to push their latest headsets (especially the S9) in the market by disabling the required BT profiles in the phones currently avaliable Over the counter.

I had written to motorola and they are still looking into this problem. Even after waiting for the last 4 weeks no reply from them

if anyone here has encounter/exprienced this kinda problem/observation then post/update on the forum. In addition if anyone know how to get the H350 work with the E6 or if there is any patch to H350 for enabling A2DP then kindly provide a link to the same

The person you talked to is wrong. A2DP is not the only music/audio profile. It is simply the profile that plays audio in stereo.

Paul - Thank you for the update.
The E6 brochure boasts about Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP. Though the H350 supports BT 2.0 (i am sure it does coz i am able to stream music to it thru nokia 6600 and some Z6 handsets), the quality being mono which i don't mind - at least something is better than nothing.
A2DP being the latest profile, why disable the older profiles on newer handsets which were already avaliable on earlier versions.

Your headset is for one ear. You need two ears for stereo. A2DP makes no sense. It is not an older vs. newer problem. You need player software that uses a mono profile. Bluetooth 2.0 can support several profiles on phone.
