there is no X server.
QT/E goes to framebuffer.
EZX is short for easy-x, someone posted earlier.
"guide to ezx platform", good idea > PM send

Hello all,
I didn't knew where to post my question so I used development forum
I'd like if someone could explain me in a few words (or not...) what is the organisation of the "EZX" linux...
I do know we have a montavista linux kernel "under" a Trolltech Qtopia for managing the graphics/windows... but:
There is this mysterious EZX "layer"...
Is there an X server in this "platform"?
Finally, is there some config files that change importants things (fstab, x(org).conf, rc scripts, ...)
As you can see my knowledge on that is pretty confuded...I'm a newbie, I just didn't managed to ssh or telnet into my phone, and with yan0 app, I could play a little with the "system file"
like "local_ezx" or "user_ezx" folders, and I wasn't so much lightened by doing this, as this is not a standard organisation..., sorry .
I don't want to shock peoples that did reverse engineering on this environment, but in fact,as the status of their work is pretty advanced ,I thinks all that should result in a "guide to ezx platform", for newbie that want to go devellop their apps, perhaps a future wiki page, or completion of an existing page (if someone can point me to that)?
-And if you guys are satisfied in the way I write in english, I shall do with pleasure...(In french I can do it of course, but in english, if you insist, I can try...) -
Thanks.

Say developer, but it's so hard!
Yes, congrats to the orange ones... what else to say? "Our team has just been changed for this test match", "yes it's EURO 2008, but well, it was just tests time...no one can change this fact..." Ouch 4 goals..." :d
Thanks Swifty to reply (again) to a so common question...sorry if it was asked, BTW, I'd read the post you where refering to but, did'nt found such a clear explanation"QT goes to framebuffer",
I'll check this wiki link tonight.

I have never updated the wikipedia. How do you do that?I suppose XMMS used to be called X11Amp because the volume goes to 11. Up to eleven - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
ezx shall perhaps mean something like simplicities? 0.0
