is Skype on linux phones possible with these skype libries?

I think its possible but do you forget a hardware limitation specially on processor ? To run skype we need minimum about 700 Mhz .. You can find this information from Skype Forum since many people who use Sharp Zaurus really2 need to port this application into their device Finally thanks for your information ..

700Mhz? but on windows PDA'a runs on a 300 - 400Mhz CPU.

maybe we can use the "turbo-"overclocking from the GBA for skype then we have 500Mhz.

Last time I see the specs, were a 400Mhz P2 processor.
Anyway, pxa does not have floating point coprocessor embedded and our phone does not have a external one hehe... so WinCE skype is better optimized(and/or crippled) than x86 version. I think that this library is only to develop skype plugins, not intended to port it.

yeah, you quire right.. skype uses lost of recourses even on my computer that has an AMD +1800 CPU.

also ours linux phones have no W-Lan for free calling..

so we have to wayt until we have phones with min. 700Mhz Cpu or support SIP phone.

otherwise when we looking on the ePlayer that can support up to 30FPS by 320x240res with stereo mp3 sound or play GBA games, then it should be possible to run skype on the phone.

It's a matter of code implementation, trash code will result in trash results hehehe
trash code for PXA = no archtecture specific optimization + floating point everywhere
