hi all,

I'm trying to compiling the python beast, but mkezx stalls on compiling ncurses.

here is the strange error:

Code:
cd include && /usr/bin/make DESTDIR="" all

cat curses.head >curses.h

sh -c 'if test "cchar_t" = "cchar_t" ; then cat /home/kpanic/src/mkezx/build/ezx/ncurses/./include/curses.wide >>curses.h ; fi'
cat /home/kpanic/src/mkezx/build/ezx/ncurses/./include/curses.tail >>curses.h
sh /home/kpanic/src/mkezx/build/ezx/ncurses/./include/MKhashsize.sh /home/kpanic/src/mkezx/build/ezx/ncurses/./include/Caps >hashsize.h
AWK=mawk sh /home/kpanic/src/mkezx/build/ezx/ncurses/./include/MKncurses_def.sh /home/kpanic/src/mkezx/build/ezx/ncurses/./include/ncurses_defs >ncurses_def.h

Compiling ncurses under mkezx is very fun
As for me, I had this error:
Code:
arm-linux-gcc -I../test -I/home/mike/src/mkezx/build/ezx/ncurses/./test -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I/home/mike/src/mkezx/build/ezx/ncurses/./test/../include -I. -I../include  -D_GNU_SOURCE -DNDEBUG -I/usr/local/include/ncurses -Wall -pipe -mcpu=iwmmxt -mtune=iwmmxt -O2 -I/opt/cross/gcc-arm-iwmmxt/gcc-3.3.6-glibc-2.3.2/arm-linux/include/  -fPIC -c /home/mike/src/mkezx/build/ezx/ncurses/./test/knight.c -o ../obj_s/knight.o
{standard input}: Assembler messages:
{standard input}:1415: Error: immediate expression expected -- `wstrw wcgr0,[sl,r2]'
And compiling ncurses with wide char support never worked for me...

What shell are you using? IIRC Ubuntu and some other distro's do not use bash. This could be your problem. Make sure you are using /bin/bash as your shell and that /bin/bash is not symlinked elsewhere.
