OKAY EVERYONE I NEED YOUR HELP FAST.
here is the deal, the up and comming technology in respect to hand helds are these SDIO devices. Anyone here want to get some 802.11b/(maybe even g) action out of their Motoorola e680i? I KNOW I MUST FIND A WAY TO DO THIS.
Currently drivers to support such a device being released for the linux kernel. I need to know as much as you can all tell me about the kernel/os that our glorious phones (the e680i's) are running. Hasn't someone found the kernel for the e680i? I appreciate all the work you must have all done to attain this code. I could really use it here too!
check out these links if you even have a slight interest. (notice that cards are being sold that do support linux based OS's) It is simply a matter of the phone understanding what these devices have to say. Other types of SDIO devices soon to be a big hit in the mainstream market include gps, 1.3 megapixel cameras, mini text scanners, etc... etc...
cards that could support linux the SD corp. cover up lets stop em in their tracks Types of SDIO devices these guys have the software tools we want for this task these guys have the tools too but I think they will be freeware tools as opposed to the SDIOworks from them^^^
lets make this happen guys and gals. I am here to help yall just as much as you can help me don't hesitate to ask!
So we unless I am wrong here is what we have:
KERNEL for the e680i
the e680i is capable fo sdio card support (hardware)
sdio wifi cards that do support linux but we need to either mess with drivers or kernel to make compatable
IS THIS ACCURATE I MAY BE WRONG!!!!
