Thread: Any difference between stack and drivers?

  1. Default Any difference between stack and drivers?

    Hi,
Seems like everyone has given up SDIO support in kernel 2.4.x

Actually I would like to know if there's any difference between a SDIO software stack and driver. (Sorry for the stupidity )

Actually I am asking because I found this:
    http://www.embwise.com/images/Press_Release_1223.pdf

    Its said there:

embWiSe already supports their SDIOWorx under MontaVista’s CEE 3.1 Linux OS
    version on Intel PXA270 platform.
Now E6 does run on MontaVista CEE 3.1 and on PXA270. Can't their stack be helpful?

SDIO is currently supported on the OpenEZX kernel on 2.6.

For 2.4, i think it is probably easier to port the SDIO driver from the A910 kernel tree on opensource.motorola.com. It is used for the builtin WLAN chip.

    Good luck!
