Engineering Field Mode (EFEM) in A780

I activated EFEM succesfully, but I don't see some functionality. How do you get first screen from topic start? I guess it should appear somehow after turning on Eng field mode, but it doesn't. Do you have any ideas?

Click the "Home" button after enabling "Eng Field Mode" on "FTS Options".

I ‘m new in how to enable the FEM on Motorola Phones, but I do need it very much due to the nature of my work, so please please it would be very kind of you if you help me, you don’t know how much I will be grateful, I have two questions first is the procedure specified applicable for Motorola A1200 as longs as both have same SW, if yes the second question if you don’t mind could you explain more the steps for such a new person like me

Hi everyone here,

I noticed the following BUG still in FW version 74.

When going to Cell Sticker it should display a pull-down menu, where the user can select the ARFCN (Absolute Radio Frequency Channel Number). But nothing appears, the ARFCN remains empty, and you cannot use the Sticker. I need the Sticker mainly for my signal measurings, now I have to walk around each station, while with the Sticker I can just sit in the nearby pub and measure everything. Not to mention the possibility to extend up to 3 times the coverage of the home zone (important for German O2 users like me).

Now, I tried to dig a little in the efem binary and compared the results to the same efem, but for the E6 handset. There was a message like "Error getting channel list", which is not present in the corresponding A780 efem binary. This led me to the conclusion, that some function, say get_channel_list() along with its error message, which actually queries the channel list from the BP and brings it on the pull-down, was forgotten to be included in the source file, while compiling the applications for A780.

I tried then, with little hope, to run E6 efem on the A780. Of course, it didn't. We still have to wait for the time, when one processor simply runs applications, built for another one.

This evening I upgraded my firmware to 76, the BUG is still there.

Now after this whole presentation, what can we do about it?

I will be very sad, if I should merely drink a glass of cold water and forget about that, and try to buy E6 etc.

Maybe someone has the efem source and the development kit?
There was somewhere on the Net a package named makeezx, I remember. Having the efem.c and makeezx and the proper function definitions, the solution is not far away...

Very nice function for my A780 but i have a little problem:

1° Dowload from phone Seem 0032_0001. Check bits 4,5,6&7 offset 44. Upload to phone.

What does that mean?
I follow all the other steps and the application is running but when i tabbed on every button i get the message "Request Failed!" and any change doesnt saved.

Can someone help me?
