    Default Did anyone get the Motorola Certificate ?

    Well, so far i havent heard any thing from motorola for the Digital certificate. i think pascal or someone also applied for it ? so i guess no one has gotten it yet right ?

    Which certificate is this? Is it for signing Java apps, native apps, BP firmware files, or what?

    yes it is for signing java apps

    cytux tried it, but i think only big players can pay this...

    U are right. Unforunately I don't got it until now. Motorola seems to restrict their own distribution with this. Bad for them - not for me.

    Wait, you have a Java midlet signing certificate?

    Hmm...

    The whole certificate business seems kinda silly unless you want to distribute a midlet to an extremely wide audience that includes Motorola attorneys. Somebody could easily build a tool to alter the permissions of installed Java apps and get all the benefits of signing.
