We know its announced, but is it released to public yet?
It appeared on LinuxDevices first, and after that on a Trolltech press-release.
Trolltech and Motorola will supply a native SDK for Motorola Linux phones, and LinuxDevices even says (but I haven't seen it on Trolltech PR) that the SDK will "begin to allow native applications developed with the Qtopia-based SDK to run on a selection of upcoming MOTOMAGX-based phones.". LinuxDevices cited the V8, but I think the Z6 will also be awarded.
Timeframe to launch and stuff? Nah.![]()

HmHmHm,
And how about EZX ? Let it died ? ...
History of my phone:
Siemens C45 -> Siemens A35 -> Siemens SX-1 -> Nokia 1110 -> MOTO ROKR E6
And ... where is EZX SDK ?
Well, My next phone would not be MOTO, coz MOTO sucks!
Definately donga,
No EZX SDK it seems because motorola have to "move on" and it is for the "benefit" of everybody , including the consumers. My next phone too will not be a Motorola
I'm afraid that it's 'yes'.
My POV is that Moto saw EZX as a cheap way to build smartphones for Asian markets (only A780 and A1200 had some distribution outside Asia), not as a central part of their mobile strategy as MOTOMAGX is. They haven't taken EZX as near as serious as they're taking MOTOMAGX; if they had taken EZX seriously, they had e.g. implemented a simple feature as timed downloads of email on the POP/IMAP email client, and I'm not talking about shipping a PROPER NATIVE SDK 2 years ago.
All hacking activity on our EZX phones are an unintented (for them) consequence of their choice of Linux as the OS. And this makes the EZX phones great. And it will make MOTOMAGX phones great, also![]()

does anyone have V8 or Z6 hacking? I think it's base on E2 and not much different from EZX platform. only they doesnot have touch screen and some hardware.
I love hacking. most of application that I create I barely use them. only create them for fun. I don't care that motorola release SDK for EZX or not. for my next phone I don't think about it now. becasue anything can happen in the next 2 years. I plan to use E6 for 2 years.
New motorola phones base on MotoMAGX doesnot mean Motorola leave EZX or discontinue support EZX platform. bacause all MotoMAGX are not a touchscreen one motorola didn't annouce a new touchscreen phone until E6 launched.
Looking at MCleaner. It was create by Beijing security technology. It's a 1st complete native EZX platform software. How can they create them?

Moto probably offered a 'commercial' SDK to them. However, they did say over @ opensource.motorola.com that MOTOMAGX is the future, and that EZX is no more. They are very hypocritical
I'm so cool, I had the E6 before the E2 launched! Wait. Never mind...
i think MotoMAGX is derive from E2 ad V series. but no new EZX touch screen phone was annouced. i don't think motorola leave linux-base-touchscreen phone. I think just rename it like LJ (Linux-Java) to MotoMAGX.
and looklike motorola are very hypocritical like you said.

If the MotoMAGX SDK is released, we can at least TRY to make it work on our E2...
http://www.eclipse.org/dsdp in this site some eclipse plugins now accessable for native developing, motorola only supporting/developing "TmL(Tool for Mobile Linux)".For GUI developing using a open source library which is name WideStudio.I think that plugins are which we are talking about.
