COOL!! Great work!! Looks like you are the E680I sound expertI wonder can we use this to like listen to police/airport radios.....
I made some code to work with radio ic, at raw i2c packet level, without the ezx libs.
There is a quick and dirty console example of use. So, if someone wanna make a nice graphical OPIE application...
The code is functional(tested only with E680i) but lacks some functions(at the moment...) that are not vital to start working with the radio.
I'm attaching only source code since I do not see utility of the console example to a non-developer, an ugly example console app can't beat the graphical native app hehe.

Nice work!!! i cant wait to find some time to poke around your code to see what i can learn!! thanks for sharng!
The radio ic is somewhat limited at about 109MHz FM mode, so airport uses AM at 112 to 130Mhz and police starts at 160Mhz/800Mhz(frenquecies varies according to country/location), I tried to lock something above 110 but no sucess hehe.
I really think it's difficult, considering that this type of ic restrict the bottom/top frequency(and the next FM freq is really away hehe), but may be some hardware modding...![]()
thx for the code alebm
i think the restriction is set in radio-chip
hi..
is there someone out there can give me some expalanation on what the use and how to use this script ?
regards,
Bonnie
This is not a script hehe, it's a C source code file and it's used to control the radio interface of e680(i).
It's a bit old, I have not updated it because lack of time but now I can fully control all IC features.
@alebm
Could u share to us the howto please?
THANKS
Get the data sheet for philips tea5767, this is the phone radio ic.
By now I am putting a graphical radio application in my todo list since i think I have discovered a way to record from radio, but I do not fully tested it yet.
RECORD FROM RADIO???? if its true, you have done something damn good. something revolutionary....
really, i'll be waiting to get my hands on such an app.
