  1. Default Motorola Launches MOTOMAGIX Linux Development Platform

Motorola announced today that they are introducing MOTOMAGX, the next generation Linux platform from Motorola. To date Motorola has sold more than 9 million mobile Linux handsets around the world.
The first products that are based on MOTOMAGX are the MOTOROKR Z6 and the RAZR2 V8. The RAZR2 V8 is the first Linux device bound for us here in the United States.
The MOTOMAGIX platform enables several different types of content developed by third-party developers. The application supports Java ME applications and there are plans to introduce a new WebUI that would enable widgets and Web 2.0 content.

"MOTOMAGX, when paired with the tools and support from our MOTODEV Developer network, provides a powerful platform for innovation -- making it easier and faster for developers to create new applications for our mobile devices," said Christy Wyatt, vice president, ecosystem and market development, Motorola. "This opens exciting possibilities for what tomorrow's mobile applications will be able to do and the new device experiences they will support."
The MOTOMAGIX application is available for download today.

This is all good on paper, but I won't get my hopes up until I see some actual substance.
I'm so cool, I had the E6 before the E2 launched! Wait. Never mind...
