    Default EzXApp-Certificate and EzxApp-Exec-RSA-SHA1

Hey Guys, can somebody tell me what are these entries:

    EzXApp-Certificate
    EzxApp-Exec-RSA-SHA1

in *.desktop files of apps? (think A1200) and how do we generate them? (Or how, and why are they generated)

    e.g. in ekonsole's directory, i found a contest.desktop which had these entries!

BTW, EzXApp-Certificate looks like base64 encoded.

    Thanks

It's a motorola code use to verified mpkg application. like in java. this block us to install .mpkg file by phone. and we use Mpkg installer to skip this verified process for install our mpkg app.

    nobody hacked it now.

I didn't really get the complete picture. Let me put my side:

Your reply suggests that the phone itself has the ability to install mpkg files, but in absence of proper verificaation entries, would reject the application! thus we use mpkg installer for installation.

I installed ekonsole using our mpkg installer. The ekonsole folder has these files! So.. there are only two ways: either these entries came with(in) ekonsole.mpkg or they were generated by mpkg installer.

I assume that entries will be generated by the installer, so that everyone can create mpkg, and user's installer can install them..

    Am I right?

If yes, the person who wrote mpkg installer (and maybe a few more people) must know what exactly is the install process and requirements to be fulfilled by the mpkg to be considered valid, and installed.

Whatever.. I dont think i'll take much more pain on this.. so mpkg installer it is..

    Thanks for your reply

    In A1200
yan0 Mpkg install ezx application with type 2.

but with my EzxMpkg installer for A1200/E6 it install with type 4. becoz in E6 type 2 was block by motorola. I guess type 4 should be preloaded app.

    E6 ezx app
type 2 -> cannot execute but can uninstall.
type 4 -> can execute but cannot uninstall.

    in A1200 ezx app
type 2 -> can execute and can uninstall.
type 4 -> can execute but cannot uninstall.

all app that install into A1200 with EzxMpkg Installer does not have EzXApp-Certificate and EzxApp-Exec-RSA-SHA1. i guess some files was generate by system after 1st exec. let see mpkg code in yan0 mpkg installer for A1200 to prove it.

but all ezx app in A1200 with type =2 always have content.desktop file. I 'll test yan0 mpkg installer again. and tell about it. if we can decode it may be we can create a valid mpkg package for clean and easy installation.
