    Default SMS Interception using MIDP ?!?!

    Hello ppl,
    i know there is a MIDP class called Java Wireless Messaging API which is able to receive and sent sms messages. Has anyone started playing with it. ? is it possible to intercept the SMS message through that.. i havent tried it yet but will let u know how it goes....

    is it possible to locate where the sms messages/ email messages are stored on the device through linux filesystem...

    thanks,

    Have you tried the demo files in the Mot. J2ME SDK? There is one in there called shortmsgex that seems to use the javax.wireless.messaging.*. The documentation gives the impression that this app will not build for the M3 emulator, but it might be a good place to start.

    @rpconnect:

    thanks for ur post. i should have written my "ezx_sms.cfg...." post here but anyhow i created a new post as u would c.. let me know if u know something about that..

    yeah i already tested that demo. the thing is if an sms is sent through a midlet to a specific port.. that can be retrieved by another midlet listening on that port... but no port-less messages can ever be intercepted by MIDP ...

    suxs big time ! anyhow if it can ever be done, it has to be through linux.. cos native OS gets it directly to inbox.

    thanks,
    MAQ
