Default move Howtos and articles to the wiki?

The how-to's give very good information to get started, however they contain some small errors. Would it be a good idea to move them to the wiki so we can all improve them?

i myself am usually have no time to mail for every little typo or improvement. The wiki would be a solution for this, i think it will help improving the howtos much quicker.

i also think that a wiki with history tracking is a must for this to work at all. the wiki thats running now is bound to give problems once somebody accidently erases an complete article.

Well its not like the text is encoded or something, just copy it to wiki, dont worry its ok with me and i assume yantz, admin or someone else wont have a problem with it too.

Gotta ask the admin that. I hope it is possible though, this wiki is really annoying to edit and anyone can come in and erase it all, and we have no way of backing it up other than copying the text into some file.

Moving the entire wiki to the recently added 'wikipedia' link is also an option it seems. after that the old wiki link could be removed.
It's externally hosted by someone else tough.

addition:
i see its a brand new project, focussed on ezx.

Yes, its totally different.

I wanted to shift everything over to that person's wiki site, but after a while I think that the wiki in this site is not that bad after all.

Just need more people to post, thats all

cheers.

Well, this is the reason people don't post that much:

so the fact that there is no history tracking is a reason not to post.

ah ok, thats better

however, could we move the offical mfc IRC channel to our network?
thats irc.fatdog.nl, a network run by and for nerds.
this way i'm sure there will be always at least 5 persons in the channel. #mfc in irc.com is almost always empty.

the network is a stable network and has multiple colocated servers. (AND there's also an active #linux channel

thx
