A little help with "motorola fire" browser , pls .. :-(

Hi friends,
I bought my first android phone yesterday. Motorola Fire.
I enabled GPRS, added the new APN, proxy and Port and is now able to access gmail, youtube, google maps etc using inbuilt icons. That means the GPRS is working fine. But i cannot load any websites using the browser. Google, Wiki, facebook ...nothing. Browser is always showing "webpage not available" ...
What could be the problem ?

It worked .. I tried dolphin & Opera mini.. Both are running good .. ThankU. Have a nice day/sleep ...
