Is there a method of entering network unlock code through cable? I have correct code but previous owner has entered too many wrong codes so now it says "not allowed" when entering correct code. Can the key counter be reset. its Android based phone.

Phone:Sony X1i Silver Limited Edition running @ 710mhz
Rom: Dynamics GTX 2.2.0 W7U Edition(21689)
DualBoot: Android 2.1 ,2.2, and 2.3
Thanks for the reply
Service provider although supplied the unlock code can only suggest "take it to Phone unlocker" lolI AM a phone unlocker and I cant find any box that supports this model.
Hard reset of any phone doesnt usually affect anything to do with SP locks so I'm pretty sure it will only reset to factory but not service conditions. I was wondering if any Motorola Service Centre personell frequent this Forum with suggestions.

Hmm interesting what Operator is the phone originally for? What about if you flashed your phone to a different rom? I'm not sure if there is any Motorola Service Center personnel here I've never met any lol. Also do you have an XDA Developer account? They have a section there for the Flipout so maybe somebody has came across your problem before.

It is locked to Orange UK network and I'm assuming that the code is correct as the same thing happens with nokia phones ie "code error" for wrong code and "not allowed" or "cant unlock" if too many wrong tries attempted.
Thank you for the XDA Dev suggestion, I never thought about then AND yes they starting to have thriving section on Moto Androids. No answer for me yet but am hopeful.
