    This is interesting.

I suggest an OMAP 3430 Processor, but since Android is sort of geared towards Qualcomm I suppose the MSM 7200A processor is good enough, clocked at 528Mhz it uses a 45nm die shrink. And make sure you use the 3D drivers as well.

RAM of about 192MB with a minimum of 128 mB should work quite well. A ROM of 256MB is sufficent. Memroy card slot required of course.

I suggest a good 2 - 3.2 Mpx AF camera, the module must be chosen with care as sensor performance is more important than the Mpx count. At least an LED with preferably Xenon flash.

GPS is a must. the Qualcomm processor has a built in GPS chip known as GPSOne.

the Qualcomm chipset has 3.5G included processor so your phone will be 3.5G .

WiFi b/g an maybe n or WiMax included as well will make it stand apart. Bluetooth a must of course and USB 2.0 Full Speed should be included. Also a USB Host function will make it great.

TV Out also could be added.

Phone is touch screen (VGA, 2.8in min) with slider form factor with included QWERTY keypad. That is the best design imo. Not a horizontal slider but a vertical one, it would require a bit of thinking to incorporate a horizontal zlider with a QWERTY keypad but its possible .

A decent battery of 1500mAh or more.

Phone should'nt cross a thickness of about 18mm anything thicker becomes hard to pocket.

Now these are specs that will make it perfect for todays market and to get you thinking . Good luck with your phone manufacturing
    Regards,
    Akshay
