I heard that S9 has a in-built audio amp . Is it true n does HT820 have one too.
I think all bluetooth sets have built an amp or driver units. Thats the only way they can play sound.

Basically the question is: are the headsets loud enough?
I can testify for S9. If u feel like, u can blow ur ears with them. But it definitely cant beat HT820. Bigger speakers. Bigger amp units.

and a guy with bigger ears on the street!!! Hey just kiddin...

But yes, HT820 will offer you all the BIGs of S9. But I personally found S9 much better because of following... Read on.

    1. Sturdy enough to survive a drop. (I dropped it froma running train, picked up running back to the location [fortunately the place was deserted!!!] and bammm... it worked)

    2. Good voice quality for calls... although it picks up surrounding noise too, but thats true with all other headsets.

    3. Nice quality & quantity of stereo music (if you dont want to get your ears blown out). Bass effects are really good.

    4. I can mod them to get extra sound. Look elsewhere for a package to do it. So no need of going for HT820.

    5. Cheaper than HT820, alot actually!

Hope you guys can make a decision with this!!

I'm half deaf because of the S9, and I yet wont stop the loud music

BTW, where's the link to mod the S9?

Dont use that .pkg file, it was made for the MING, it'll mess up our volume tables

    @askd ..
which pkg file are you talking about.. is it VolSet.pkg.. i have just downloaded it and installed to get a boost in volume.. ( not on the BT Headests.. but overall) .. this one was indeed recommended by indiacam who uses a MING..

it is bad.. if yes.. will uninstalling it revert back to the original volume tables..?

I have figured out how to increase bass, volume and reduce external noise in S9. See the image below.

Actually, the attachments you get on S9 by default does not fit a normal human ear perfectly, leaving small gaps between s9 and your ear. For this reason, the real bass effect is gone and the volume is also very low.

If you could have something which bars external noise completely, the quality would be as good or as better as HT820.

    Now the trick.

Motorola supplies four soft plugs (2 pairs) with S9. One pair is exactly as it is on S9 by default. The other one is with soft rubber on it, which fits your ear according to your ear shape. This bars entry of external noise to a greater extent, giving you pure music!!!

    See attached image!
