@ teckybloke :
You should read the very well done "guide to flashing" for the a1200, everything should apply for a910 too...
except the firmware files are not the same. =====>** GUIDE To FIRMWARE and FLASHING Your A1200 ** by Alpha43
The big part of this site is dedicated to A1200, E6, A780 and E680, so we have to read some infos from there and adapt to our (very similar) A910 phones
Please write some tutos here in the A910, if you feel necessary, too...
My goal is to ease the use of A910 for the everyday use, but I didn't manage to do some firmware or mpkg apps (you can already install some mpkg apps made for E2 phones ). So maybe wait a little...and some goodies will come.
For unlocked wifi, you may have notice the link to p3t3r's firmware, just go, download it and flash it!
(this is at your own risk, of course, please follow the tutorials, don't disconnect without waiting for long time for the flashing is done, don't trust too much rsd lite messages, try to follow instruction 1 to 1...
Also the most important should be to have a fully charged battery.
The firmwares in top of this page are not designed for you, this thread explain everything :
A910 - New Firmware enables user to surf the Internet via Wifi
Backup is not necessary as you see there is now some original unmodded firmware online
You may have to search by yourself, (I use the openezx way, so it's really delicate actually to make an simple guide), I've heard about cyph's flashkit , command line (linux tool dd > "dd if=/dev/mtdX of=/mmc/mmca1/mtdx" see post #2 from me...) also can be your solution, I can't see other ways, they may be too hard/dangerous for a linux beginner...plus I repeat:backup is not necessary, I believe, in your case!
@vkin :
I'll take a look at this neuf branded fw and mod the /exzlocal/download/appwrite/setup/ezx_system.cfg to zeroing MasterSecurityCode and MasterUnlockCode, we will see if it suffice
