Maybe you´re thinking: Well, that A910, it is Linux-based, but isn´t it on the market for quite a long time? Yes, indeed, it really is. But A910 is a UMA (GSM over IP) device, and it´s inbuild WiFi only likes to connect to UMA-powered wireless networks. This is different on new Motorola A910i, that hits the market in France with the operator "Neuf Cegetel", which as released some other Linux-DualMode(GSM&WiFi for VoIP via SIP)-handsets before, build by some OEMs (WNC and E28 ). Motorola A910i will enable its user to use SIP VoIP-telefony over WiFi, and as it´s said to come with Neufs MobileTV-Solution, we can be nearly sure that you´ll be able to surf the internet via WiFi connection. As an A910 user I have to tell you, that I am very keen to get my hands on the Motorola TWIN A910i´s firmware. So if you´re living in france and need a new phone with a new contract...![]()
