Default unlocking password protected transflash card?

my phone got repaired because my gps died and to do this they replaced the motherboard and put a fresh install of the software on there.

before i turned in the phone i had put a password on my mmc card but now i can't unlock it anymore...

it keeps telling me that the password is wrong but i'm 100% sure i tried the correct password several times since it's the same as my sim card password.

probably the new software generated a new keypair so i'm screwed but maybe one of you guys has an idea still..?

i can unlock the same card with the same password on two different firmwares 74 and 76.
have you tried the standart passwords 1234 and 000000?
if the content on the card can be deleted you can reformat the mmc.

seems im fuxored and my 60 euro sdcard is worth nothing now.

the shop where i bought my phone and returned it for repairs won't do anything about it.
i told them i could unlock my card with the phone before it got repaired and now that they did a boardswap and new software it won;t accept my password but they didn't care.. was not their problem.
assholes.. never go to T for Telecom again.

so now i tried everything to get the card formatted but it doesnt work.
trying to format it in windows doesnt do anything.. no error but also nothing happens whatsoever.

in linux i can see the card in the usb view tree but i cant do anything..

a device /dev/sda/ gets created but it doesn;t get mapped.

also fdisk doesnt work.. it tells me there is no device..

    damn..

i don't know what happend to your card, but the change of board and software is not responsible for this problem. the test i have done was on two different A780 with different firmwares. and i could unlock the card on booth with the same password.

one more try can be qtparted on linux to create a new partition with a different filesystem and then do a reformat to fat16. but this is just a guess.

i remember reading somewhere.. There is hidden file on the root of the microsd card having the password in plain text. I think the file name starts with a dot (.)
