Hello Yantz...
i was soo glad to have found a post at midpssh site that u have succesfully telnet to the localhost of E680 ... and the telnet pictures u posted that says welcome to montavista CEE ... WOW .. WOW >> WOOW !!! plss help me also in telneting A780 localhost system.. its exact same platform and OS from Montavista as i have confirmed it...it has to work...
currently i cant get midpssh to connect to my localhost. can u tell me which port u telneted to ? also, when midp environment asks you to specify the connection to connect from what did u use ? i am using tzone (by tmobile) and apparently it seems as if they are blocking all the ports ? can they block the ports ? i am telneting to my system not their's ? confused !!!!

Did you run the telnet up script first? Its in the download section.

no i didnt run the telnet script.. i was looking for it in download section.. cant find it under A780... i am still looking for it... what is it anyways ? does it need to be run on the phone or windows ?

Yes i found the script..telnet_down.lin and telnet_up.lin

You need to install linloader, for instructions look in the E680i forum.

thanks Max but the major problem comes now. i downloaded linloader.. and the file "LinLoader.mtf" i moved it to the phone. then from the phone i clicked the file but it says "no application to open the file" ... dang does that mean i cant install it at all ? any other way to install linloader.. cos it was originally for E680 .. ?

download and unzip loader.zip. it contains 4 files. connect usb mass storage and make new folder "loader" in sdcard\.system\QTDownLoad
make sure you can view hidden files. in explorer settings. send these 3 files to the loader folder. you should now have:
sdcard\.system\QTDownLoad\loader\lin_loader
sdcard\.system\QTDownLoad\loader\loader.png
sdcard\.system\QTDownLoad\loader\loader-sm.png

send test.lin to phone.

next, edit sdcard\.system\java\PlugCardDB using any unix compatible editor. wordpad is fine, but do not use notepad. if you have installed some apps into the card, you should have a pretty long file. insert these lines into the end of the file:

check this out now.. downloaded loader.zip. found the 4 files...now when it says in mass storage we can find the following folder "\sdcard\.system\QTDownLoad"
i want to know if sdcard is a folder cos in my windows it is listed as E drive and then i have .system\QTDownload

well i anyhow created loader inside that QTDownload and then it says edit "edit sdcard\.system\java\PlugCardDB " ... how is it possible that i dont have PlugCardDB in my java directory ??? or maybe since i couldnt find SDcard thats the problem ?

what files/folders do you have there in java folder?

You sure it isnt there? If so you have to install a game to transflash memory and then itll show up.
