Openmoko is very interesting stuff and as I've understand it, after its release, it will probably will not take long to port it to A780.
Last episode of the excellent Lugradio podcast http://www.lugradio.org/episodes/70 has an openmoko segment that's very informative

i hope the down scaling of the OpenMoko GUI will not be a problem.
the real Moko has 640x480. and the fonts on my wallpaper are looking very small.
but YES it is looking very cool! much better than IPhone
