the hardware has problems on its drivers most of it is not opensource and the main men in the development of these drivers at openezx is now busy in the development of openmoko. Very little improvement was seen at openezx. When will i find a stable version of openmoko for my phone???
The promise of Harald Welte is that it would be fairly easy to port openmoko to our a780
I could not live without windows... just because games for PC are mostly for windows.

    This is not true.

OpenEZX development is going on really quickly now. Take a look on the 2.6.21 branch, all the development is going on in there.

We are just not caring about precompiled images for users right now.
As soon as the sound driver is ready i will prepare a set of precompiled images for end users.
There is also a lot of development going on to support other ezx phones, e2/a1200/e6 will soon be fully supported.

Ahh, and we already have OpenMoko running on a780. But for it to run fully functional on a780 is still a lot of work.

    great news wyrm
I could not find the irc logs at the site so I just looked at the status page in the wiki so that led me to the conclusion. I felt that it was stunted because of the the preoccupation of the some of the developers over openmoko

more power to wyrm and other developers at openezx and more power to motorolafans, openezx and openmoko
