I've managed to get a version of the nes emulator up and running from one of the links in the e680 thread, but once it loads up the game, i can't start it - it just plays the demo. Anyone had any luck setting the buttons on the a780?
anybody get the nes and gb emulators working on the a780? i tried the vnes thing but it just freezes up, just curious if its possible to get running smoothly the a780.

I think the buttons are the main problem.I can install the Nes ROMs but the games are more or less "unplayable" because you can't configure the key settings correctly as you also need a keypad besides the joystick. But as the keypad is disabled when the flap is open I don't see any workaround here.Unfortunately the rocker switch and the joystick get assigned the same code so this doesn't work.Anybody any ideas?

i'm not sure abt other emulators but vnes allows you to configure the buttons. i registered my vnes and its worth it, no sound tho![]()
Yes, you can configure the buttons but as I understand _only_ the joystick i.e. up/down/left /right/start and that's not enough because I need more like stop/pause/right+jump/left+jump etc. etc. I cannot use the keypad because that's disabled as the flap is open and the rocker switch corresponds to the joystick movements in vnes. Or is there a workaround for this?

eh? i got total configuration with vnes, it allows me to set action a, action b, select, start, up, down, left, right, turbo a, turbo b. how come yours cannot?
yantz what buttons did you configure your start/select/A/B buttons? can u package your vnes for us?
yantz uses e680, no use for you guys.
Yes, but does it run Linux?
forgot that a780 has different buttons than e680.
but still its configurable tho. i have down volume key as select, up volume key as start, real player button as action a and radio button as action b.

I noticed the following behaviour when configuring the key settings for vnes with A780:
Volume down/joystick down and Volume up/joystick up get allocated the _same_ function and that's the problem. If there is a workaround for this then everything would be fine.
