SSL on email client of A780?

My Motorola A780 does not have SSL authentication on its email client. That limits my email sending capabilities because of the way our corporate exchange server is set up.

Is there a firmware upgrade/ version, or workaround available for this issue?

(I noticed that A1200 has SSL authentication available as an option )

has anyone found a way around this, or a way to use the SLL email client from the A1200 (seems like a long shot - how similar are they two phones' firmwares?)

I think it could well be a showstopper for me :S. Though MujMail looks promising...

I read a while back that someone got stunnel cross-compiled and working.. but I have yet to see / do it.. It makes sense that that would work. If anyone gets stunnel working for this please let us know.
