General Questions about A780..Help Please.

Hello all,

I found this site recently when I purchased my A1200, and it has been a huge help. Now that I have a cool toy, my wife really wants a new phone.

Here the questions I have about the A780:

When the keypad is showing (flip closed) is it just like a regular phone...one can make/recieve calls and messages? My wife text messages like crazy, and the touchscreen keypad would just be a hinderance to her....she really likes to type from a number pad.
The other question I have, is can you use the MP3's that are transfered to the phone as the ringtone? I know that I can on my a1200, and my wife would like to do that as well.

Wow thanks for the fast reply swifty!!! One last thing, does the a780 use the same software as the a1200, or is it an older model?

it is an older one but compareable to A1200.
most things look same. but it has no fm-radio
the camera is not so good (no macro)
but it is more open.
thanks to the developers here we have a lot of programs.

I spent ALL day yesterday looking at phones for my wife. NONE of them had PDA features with a numeric keypad for texing. I looked at the treo's and blackberrys, but my wife really didnt care for them. I think I am sold on this phone for her... Now she doenst have to carry a phone and a palm any more!!

Lastly...does any one know, if the games I have on my a1200 are transferable to the a780? Primarily the touch screen solitare and bejewelled.

there are a lot more games for A780 then for A1200
if the A1200 versions work on A780, i don't know.
but solitaire and bejeweled are on mine, so YES!
