Default A780 displays network signals of other service providers?

I need to manually choose the network service provider in India, how can I do this on a A780? How can I view the different providers in a particular city when traveling? Can someone help.

    Thanks.

if you tap on the upper right (the button to begin a call)
then the buttom left (menu button)
    you will find setup.
    there is the network setup.
you can search for available networks.
and you can chose your preferred network.

    oh yes, the manual
you will learn much more about your mobile in trying/searching here
but reading the manual is helpful too.
