A780 EDGE differencies

I had a version of the phone that was not supporting EDGE (and it had a wierd bug) I had it flashed with new software (mainly to fix the bug) and EDGE started to work as well. I don't know if that means that EDGE is all software related...but in my case it seems that it was.

And to answer the next question...no I didn't flash it myself and no I don't know how do to it and no I don't have software that I can send anyone.

Where did you get it flashed and how to do you know it's supporting EDGE now?

I know it supports EDGE now because the E appears on the screen where there was only a G before.

I got it flashed by a developer at motorola who works on the phone (and I also told him about the secure pop3 issue).
