Macks connectivity with Windows Box...simple 1-2-3-go guide

Hi Mack and the other hackers. It seems like a great idea to use the broadband internet connection from the desktop/laptop from the mobile phone to synchronize eMail, Calender etc without additional costs.

I'm using an XP box and messed around a tremendous amount of time trying to get this rolling (reading the two related threads, try & error). I finally can at least ping my XP box from my Moto A780 and vice versa. For anyone trying the same this is a really cool and simple description:

Now i tried to install macks connectivity pack hoping that the thing would simply work but it didn't. I assume that the problem is that I'm using windows and perhaps don't need Leoppp at all as I already have the connection between the xp box and the moto up and running with USBLAN. I think many others have the same problem: they would like to use this stuff but its a bit freaky for non-moto-professionals.

If anybody is accessing the internet via his A780 through the WinXP Laptops broadband connection, it would be simple cool if you could describe the necessary steps in a easy to follow 1-2-3-go fashion.

Hi Swifty, thanks for your reply. Now I'm really scared, but where is the file, where is the download. I can't find the download link, I tested with FF and IE7. Maybe I'm just blind. Or isn't cma353 talking about a file? Hmmm. Thanks again and sorry for this dump question.
