What is the latest firmware and what about the future?

Hello!

I've not been around for a while. How are things developing with A780? What is the latest (official) firmware for it and how is development going on with alternative firmwares?

Is there a future for the A780 or was this mobile a nice try that has no great future?

for lastest firmware goto stickies.
for a firmware replacement we have to wait till openmoko is released.
i hope we get a great GUI and APPS in the beginning 2007.

for me the future of A780 has not begun yet.
motorola-gui was not the best for it.
opie was just a try to see what is getting to run.
but now opie is dead as a dodo

Wow! So there's been a lot of development.

What I ask myself is: will there still be CoPilot in this OpenMoko (if it is as I understood a complete new flash for the mobile)?

Any pre-release screenshots available makeing us shorten the time to wait?

don´t know. let´s wait if there is a better replacement also
but if not, i think copilot can be hacked to run on this.
or a dualboot
