Photo capture fails..Cant record voice or Video either!HELP

my A780 has stoppped capturing and saving photos.....i guess it got infected by a virus/worm which created 'temp.htt' and 'desktop.ini' and 'update.exe' files in my card and folders ...
whenever i try saving a photo it gives me a message "photo capture failed" .....neither does it saves the video....nor voice recording either.......


don't know what to do .......i have tried 'master reset' but no help.....
and i don't know how to flash my phone.....

my firmware is R52_G_OD.50.AEP
BP:R52_G_OD.39.B1P

What should i do.......?

i wonder how a windows worm/virus can infect a linux phone.
do you have your phone connected in mass-storage-mode?
(maybe there are some needed files overwritten)

you must first clean up your windows-computer!

Maybe filesystem is full
But if you tried a master-reset it schouldn't be.

first let me thank you for taking time out and figuring out the virus for me ....
i have cleaned my comp of the virus....

Very true ,even i can't figure out how can a windows virus infect a linux system........but the fact remains that it has happened....
i guess and my guess is as good as your that perhaps it would have infected the phone while i was using it as mass storage....

now the question is how did the virus /worm manage to infect the OS part of the phone ,when i can't access it while connecting it to my comp normally, unless i use bootloader or through any USBLan......or any other unconventional way.....?

well there seems to be a .system folder on both the phone as well as The SDMMC card....but i don't think that it can affect the saving of captured pictures or audio files or any other files or folder on my phone...

also i did use AVG antivirus and it indeed found lots of infected files and folders after which i healed those files and deleted lots of temp.htt desktop.ini and winzip.exe files ......But still the conditio has not improved and even after cleaning i can't save any pictures and audio and video on my Phone as well as on my SDMMC card.......

ok so the problem here are:
1. how do i correct this problem
2. if this can't be solved than how do i reflash my phone...
3. and if someone can guide a newbie like me...how to reflash it...

if this don´t work then:
i think a reflash is the only way for you.
1. you have to find out what firmware you need
2. you have to read in the sticky´s about reflashing
3. you need a little luck

If you wolud like to have a look on your phone weithout using an infected windows you can try to boot your computer from a Linux-Live CD (e.g. Knoppix), so no virus can be active. After that you can connect your phone in USB-Storagemode to your PC.
Now you are able to see the content of your phone and may be able to clean it up.

Sry, I have no experience with flashing or resetting the phone.

thanks a hell lot,
master clear worked and it restored the phone to my earlier position ...

except a few hiccups
it cleaned all the SMSes from my phone and it also cleaned my sim card memory as well as phone book memory...

but its okay
