A780 with GPS in US needed

Hello:

Where has this phone been all these years ?!
I absolutely loved this phone, and now love it even more after reading the boards here. Does anyone know how I can get the GPS model/version of this phone here in the US (with the US maps built-in or separate)

What are your recommendations about waiting for a GPS model -- is it really that good ?

You can purchase the US Maps for A780 GPS phones from www.alk.com. The cost is $100. The reason why we can't share the maps is because the license key is binded to your phone.

I purchased a used UK version of this phone through ebay. I then had to get the US maps from ALK (another $100). It works very well and it'll be going with me on my bike trips this summer. I used it to travel up and down the west coast last week and its ability to do a course correction should you miss your turn is extremely helpful and nifty. Why you can't buy this in the US (its a US company afterall) is beyond me.

With the A780 computer, the cellphone is really one of the least important parts of the computer. Its really cool and helpful too.

I wonna now that as much as you. I'm from Serbia, and my brother is in America, but he won't be there much longer. Can someone get me a link where to buy a780+ in US, plz, plz, plz....
