How to Install Theme in A780

Hi everyone,

I just bought A780 and I'm not a Linux user so I'll surely need more explanation.
I want to install theme, but i'm stuck, this is what i did :

- I've followed yantz's instruction about loader.zip file from

p.s : Linloader looks already installed in the Applications menu.
- I put test.lin in folder sdcard\program, then i open it using LinLoader. test1.txt is created successfully.
- I've also downloaded theme_installer.lin and put it in folder sdcard\program, when i open it using LinLoader, nothing happens. I assume it will create another file that will run mtf file, is it right ?
- I've also download WinXPPro.mtf from the download section, when i tap on it, it says "cannot find an appl to open the file".

Please help me by giving a step by step instruction on how to install theme in A780, assumed using those files that i've downloaded. (I assume I might need to download other files too)

you can only use themes for e680i or a780. you must put the theme installer and theme(.MTF-file) into the phone, not in a folder .

tap on the themename.mtf file and close and reopen the filemanager...

tap an install_themename.mtf.lin.

tap that new file created. wait a few seconds. then go to setup -> color theme.

you must put the theme installer and theme(.MTF-file) into the phone, not in a folder .

Can you tell me how exactly i put those files into the phone ?
I copied those files to Transflash folder using Windows Explorer via USB cable. I assume I have to copy them to the Phone folder, right ?
Where should i copy them ?

you must copy theme_installer and the them file only to phone not to transflash and in no folder. read it an follow this step by step.

A780 and E680i, not A768

use only themes created for E680i/A780. Do Not use those for E680.
put theme installer .lin and theme's .mtf to phone
tap installer
close and reopen file manager
new file install_themename.mtf.lin will be created
tap that to install it

i finally got it right
thanks so much for helping me.
i wish Linux & Motorola experts keep making applications and games for A780, i like the phone so far.

btw, is there any application similar to MS PowerPoint for A780 ?

glad you made it try the I,Robot theme, its awesome!

the preloaded viewer app can read ppt, but it cant edit tho
