Help Please Touch Screen Not Working

I have a Motorola A780 and the touch screen is not functioning at all. On the top-middle of the screen the"!" icon is blinking. Is this a software or hardware issue? If hardware, can I just fix it by cleaning the contacts? If harware, can it be repaired by hard reset or flashing? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

i have the same problem . u need to flash ur phone...
how to flash..refer to sticky section..u do need to do a lot of reading...
