Hi guys,

I've flashed the phone with at least of the downloadable firmwares still available (2 china branded, one tiwanese firmware, and one european firmware) and yet i'm still unable to use other simcards with the phone.

How do I unlock the phone and allow it to accept simcards from all networks? I've searched the forum for more than 10 hours now, checked with at least 4 other sites, and still no luck.

Please guys, help me unlock this phone so i can use it with any network / provider / simcard. I need help. I have no idea what the subsidy code is, and none of the unlocking stations in the nearby mall knows what to do as well (as according to them the unit is neither compatible with testpoint nor smart clip)

I guess it will be difficult to unlock your phone. I don't know any method to do this. Tell us where did you get your phone from. If it came with contract with some network you should contact them and ask for the subsidy code. It not, just contact Motorola Service Center. They should help you.

i went to a motorola service center and according to them they do not unlock phones. network providers here won't provide the code as well as we get big discounts here when we purchase phones with a subscription.

Well, it doesn't matter anyway. I'll probably give this unit to my brother as he's using with the network the phone is locked to. I still need to fix the firmware though, I flashed it with a european one hoping the flash would kill the lock

the phone was provided to me locked. I flashed it hoping flashing would unlock my phone but it didn't, ergo, none of the firmwares here locked my phone. my phone was just locked, period.

I'm starting to feel really depressed, took me months to find someone willing to swap his A780 with whatever my unit is and now ...this ...huhuhu

is there a way to unlock it using PST or any of the softwares we have?
