backup messages?

is it possible to backup the messages?
i've got almosto more than 2150 messages stored in my phone, and i don't wanna lost them...
the programs are not a problem... i'll reinstall them later..
but the messages are important...
tried to connect the headset to the phone and use the software to see sms on the computer, but it doesn't work... :S
anybody could help me?? :$

there is a backup/restore program here around.
if you search for it i hope you find it.

i do my backups with this:

but this is only working if you have linloader installed.

i don´t know about an easy way for backup if motorola phone tools is not working for you
