    Default dual sim

Have you tried dual sim on your A780 (or E680)? If it works ok, what model of dual-sim adapter would you recommend?

    Hello evaldas,

I have a dual sim with my new A780 with gps chip. It works with no problems. I suppose u can use any sim. Try the cheap stuff outside germany. I ordered it for around 7 € with postage included from gb. Its a dual sim for the original size sims which can be changed from the menu.

Only problem was to fit it behind the battery. But after a little practice it works.

    @cytux:
I really need one of those dual sim things. The only think inconvenient about them is they shorten the battery life as far as I heard. What's your experience with it on the A780 ? As a780 already has a short battery life I don't know how it will be with an additional dualsim.
How long does it take your a780 with dualsim to dry the battery ?

they shouldn't drain the battery any more than a normal sim, at least the common dual sims

I once saw a dualsim which claimed that through some alternating process it kept both of them active, but most of them you have to manually switch between the lines, it's basically a case of having line 1 or 2 on but not both at the same time

if the alternating one was legit then it would drain the battery more since it'd be mainting both signals

the alternating ones alternate every couple of mins, it's a bit misleading, but at least you can receive texts on both sims, calls are 50/50

    Hi magnum,

shure, u're welcome! I've enclosed the picture. The green box is the second sim and the arrow points to the folded edge of the wire to the second sim. By the way, my dualsim is from sundasim.

Hi cytux and thnx a lot for the picture.
I got a similar dual sim. And I tried this folding too. But no way it would fit without damaging the battery and the cower. As the cower of A780 seems a little delicate, esspecially the grips, I am a little afraid.
    There is another thing.
Where in the menue do you select which card to use ?? I tested it without closing the cower and It only shown the normal simcard, but not any entry in the menue for the dual sim.
    Thanks

    Hi magnum,

it is a litte bit tricky to get the battery in and the cover closed. Yes I must press the battery down and then slide the cover gently to closed while soft pressing the battery down. But it works for me. The switching is not in a menu but the application named STK (European mobile with gps chip) is used for it. Best luck!

Wow it worked Thnx cytux. There is only a small problem left: If the sims require pin the software stucks when I try to switch between the sims and it requires a phone restart. Do you have the same problem ? Or maybe has to do with my software version or my dual sim adapter. If the pin is disabled, the switching works, but I have to try 2 or three times in order to switch from one card to the other.
