possibility to use the gps with closed phone ?

Is there a possibility to use the gps with closed phone ?
I’d like to use the phone for trace my way on bicycle.

In CoPilot is an option to keep the gps on when the phone is closed. The documentation states that it can be used for example when you're walking and do'nt have to check the display all the time.
