Copilot Software Error - Please Help-

Just got my A780 in the UK and am using it in Italy.
I am having some problems with the copilot software.
I have a 512Mb micro sd on to which I put the map of all of Italy.

When in map mode (and zoom out too much) or guidence mode i get the following error message with an ok button that closes the software:

getcgd: gridsize>0 but cgdsize=0 or s,e<0

even if in navigation mode all is fine.

Has anybody got any ideas...

Hi palg1,

Did you already try to contact ALK (http://alk.com/); I heard they were quite responsive.

Futhermore I found on http://www.daveburrowsforums.com that in earlier versions of Copilot, GetCGD errors were due to corrupt map data files on your storage card. You could try to clean out the map data on the card and then put it back on.

Thanks for the post..
Yes I contacted ALK a week ago via their online customer support form, with no reply as yet. I will go on the site now and see if there is a direct email i can contact.
I have version 1.0.0.83 of copilot live, is that old?
If it is how to I upgrade? If I am not mistaken ALK will sell map upgrades, but to upgrade the software itself you must flash / flex the firmware, is that correct?

I have tried reloading the maps onto the sd card, I guess giving that another go is worth a try in the mean time.
