    Default Network Time

I just got my A780, and I have not even started to setup usbnet, linloader, etc.

The phone is a China Mobile branded one, and most things seem to work pretty well as-is. EDGE is enabled, and even works inside my house!!

One big problem is that it seems that setting the time via the network is not available. This is a major disadvantage to me.

Another post indicates that Network time can be enabled with a seem edit.

Can anyone post instructions on how to do this Preferably without PST. I have only Linux and Mac systems.

Is it in /usr/setup/ezx_flexbit.cfg? Which bit?

Am I just not seeing the option?

    Thanks.

    Default Fixed: Network Time

Sorry to answer my own post, and sorry to post on something that was already discussed. I just did not have the right search terms.

Time Autoupdate is covered in this post:
    http://motorolafans.com/index.php?na...ewtopic&t=4055

See also the SEEM Information here:
    http://motorolafans.com/index.php?na...details&id=248

I easily edited the referenced bits using molo4lin. Now I have Network Auto Update of time, but I also have the Timezone bug mentioned in the original thread.

As a workaround I just have autoupdate set the time, and then go back to manual. Every weak or whenever I think about it I will set the clock this way, and it will be fine.

Also, this forced me to learn how to build moto4lin on Fedora Core, and how to get it to work. If any one is having problems getting moto4lin to compile on Fedora, I can help.
I will post here if there is interest. There is also a trick to get it to connect to the phone, at least with the firmware I have.
