A780 - value for money???

This week, A780 is out in Indonesia! It is priced Rp. 4,900,000 (about US$ 511) - thanks to the weakening Rupiah ...

Do you guys see this phone as worthbuying? I mean, I've been enjoying "playing" with my E680. I don't want something less the value for more money.

What do you guys think?

If the A780 doesn't have EDGE, stick with the E680.

I got friend in Jakarta that has both E680 and A780. He loves the A780 for the browser and the keypad (one hand SMS).

The one thing that withheld me from buying an A780 instead of an E680 is the memory card format. I already had a 1GB SD card, and SD memory is much cheaper than Transflash, plus, if I recall correctly, transflash isn't even available in sizes bigger than 128MB yet.
Apart from that, if you're into camera's, the A780 camera is of course a lot better than the one present in the E680. Personally I don't really care about the camera. If you flash your E680 to the E680i, you'll have pretty much the same software. The only other reason I can think of to get an A780, is the hardware keypad.
If those reasons are worth the difference in price for you, go for it

Transflash is available up to 512MB now. The A780 has the external keypad and the Hong Kong version has EDGE. If you're unable to get the HK version, get the E680.

And that 512 MB is the maximum card support for A780, right?

Not that I'm aware of. That's just the largest transflash card available right now.
