Phone not getting detected in PST but detectedas modem.Help?

Hi All,
i am trying to flash my A780 but it is not getting listed in PST 7.1.1 or 7.2.3
have installed all the drivers .. it asked for lots many and i have rooted it to P2K drivers .. after the drivers installation my phone is not getting detected ..
Any help on this would appriciate.
Also
do i need to install the drivers which are there with CD i got with phone ..
Phone is working great in the USB memory mode...
Ya also phone is getting detected as a modem in Device manager but not getting listed in the PST or P2K tools....
Kindly suggest ....

Connect phone with USB. Open P2k tool. Go to your device manager. You should see a list of ?'s next to devices that need a driver installed. Install p2k.sys as the driver for each of the devices. Your phone should now shown to be connected.

Thanks for your reply but i have done that and finally it shows that the device has been installed and working ... but in the PST and P2K it is not listed .. that by i am confused what i have done wrong ... as i have never faced a problem with E398 like this.
RSD , PST p2K , Moto kit .. no one is detecting the phone...
so i am stuck ..i am using 39 version so i need to upgrade that ...

appriciate your quick response....
buty i need more suggestions....
and can i Edit the gain table from P2k tool like we use to do in E398 / Rokr..

You can edit the gaintable.bin file. I use P2kman. As far as suggestions, can you try to install it on a different computer? Maybe your drivers for the E398 are conflicting with that of the A780? Can you also try a different USB port?
