Can someone collect the info scattered in this forum about Flashing and firmware upgrade and make a helper post?
I am totally new to all these so it would be nice if some of the mods/admins copuld do it for all of us

Now how do we get to know whichc versions to upgrade to and what are the intermediate versions?

Lets do this as an example

R52_G_0d.50.AEP
BP: R52_G_0D.39.B1P
BP flex : GCOA78000SA061
DSP : 62252500
This is an asian phone ...Indian to be specific

What is the upgrade path that i should follow...
After that we can generalize this for all versions of s/w

But you have to also consider justifying the upgrade. Why am I upgrading my firmware? Why should a person go from 74 to 76? I think people often think they need to have the latest and greatest while the upgrade might not add any value.

People might want to upgrade to a newer version.(i would like to get some new features).

Lets say enable sip.

Many messages are there asking how to do it.. many ppl have seen failures and all..
So lets have a unified how-to for this...
It might be of some help..
