Default Battery runs low while USB connection?

    Hi,

I bought my A780 some days ago and startet playing around with it.
    Info:
    A780 - german - gps within
    firmware:
    R52_G_0D.72.A2R
    BP: R52_G_0D.C0.B1P
    BPFLEX:
    GXOA780000E1025
    DSP: 62373700

Some questioned occured while using it:
    1. USB-Connection (to PC; or car charging ..) while phone turned. The battery signals 20% and starts jelling. Is that a known behavior? Find it quite confusing.
    2. Is a battery extension or a better battery available? I got a 3.6 V LITHIUM ION.
    3. I read something about VoiceCommands / VoiceDialing over headset. Is it possible to enable it without flashing to optimiced flex and loosing some functions?
4 Is there a console app available?
    5. Could you suggest some useful tools / apps? Pehaps Office tools like eBook/pdf/word/excel reader or editor?

Thanks for your help and thank you for this homepage, it helped me a lot.

    Bye mr.gorsky

If it's in usb mode, my a780 gives a different battery status then while it's not in usb mode

Guess it's a bug or something, the usb mode is wrong I think

    1. - yea, it always does that. I used to remember the exact reason for this (most devices will show that their battery is lower than it is when it's charging). When a battery is being charged, the voltage it's being fed is usually a little higher than the battery's normal voltage, so the determination of it's level has to be made with a different reference voltage. However, when the battery isn't fully charged, it's going to drop that voltage some. You should notice that once the battery is fully charged, it will read 100%.

    2, 3 - dunno

4 - I use qonsole. You need NEO-Installer to use it. To install NEO-Installer, you need LinLoader. If you are a linux/unix type, I would grab busybox as well since there aren't many linux tools on the phone to start with. There's some good info on this here. But I for busybox, I would search the forums since that site I linked doesn't have binaries posted (somebody posted binaries on mf).

5 - there's supposed to be an excel reader / edtor. The built-in "Viewer" appliation is supposed to be able to view all of the above (I thought at least).
