If I had an error flashing, I would have attempted to reflash. I presume you did backup your firmware before you did this?
Hi,
I've just bought a A780 (asian)
I've tryed to flash from asian to european version (74->74) with pst but i had an error at 98%....
But, my phone reboot (the helomoto animation at start was't clean but it boots) and i manage to syncro, call someone, play with edge etc...
As i would like the phone to be fully charged, i leave him connected all night long......
This morning NOTHIN.....

can't go in bootloader mode

dd if=/dev/zero of=/ram/awsomeswap bs=1024 count=16384
mkswap -v0 /ram/awesomeswap 16384
sync
swapon /ram/awesomeswap

no at all...
But I found the problem.
I try to charge my phone with an usb wire connected to a computer, but when the phone is fully discharged, you have to use the Motorola power supply. It don't use the same pins as usb.
The stand alone charger uses the same pins for +5V and GND as USB data cable, but have a adtional 200 or 440Kohm resistor at the pin 4. Indeed, you can charge a phone with empty baterry only with stand alone charger, and not from USB port.
