Yep....

"Cell Info Display" option is missing from motorola fones.....Any1 knows a hack or something for this....

A question for other A780 owners:

I want to browse the contacts while the flip of A780 is closed. Though the manual claims that the rocker switch can be used to select either "Phone" or "SIM Card" to view the contacts from respective locations, I am always seeing contacts from the "Phone" and have been unable to switch / combine the contacts from "Phone" and "SIM Card" for viewing while the flip is closed.

Any help please.....

Hi buddy,

Surely there isn't a cell info display option in A780, but I feel there is a better option.
Here it goes.
1 --> Go to messages
2 --> Service setup
3 --->Info service
4 ---> select on
5 ---> Select active channels
6 ---> If there is any channel then edit it to "50" else create a new channel.

After sometime you will start receiving messages indicating your current location(actually the nearest service tower's location) in the form of message. You can save or dismiss the message.

When you save, you can check the messages later to see the route you took while travelling.

For Airtel in India the Active channel is 50. I am not sure about other service providers. check with your service provider
