Thread: A780 website

  1. #1

    Default A780 website

    Hi,

I have to start by saying this is a great forum! The info I've read here, made me buy the damn thing

Most of the information I needed is available searching for it. The only problem is the time you need to spend finding it. Or if you forgot it, finding it again..
Especially newbies (like me) have a hard time finding the information.
To keep track of my journey for information I made this A780 page http://linuz.coconia.net/A780.html
This way I don't have to search for the most common links or answers again (I've got a very very bad memory)

If I find a good tutorial links here or somewhere else I will place it on my site.
Could be useful for other newbies like me.

Don't expect too much yet.. (and my native language isn't English so plz don't be to hard on that either )

¡Thank you very much, tfromb! These kind of pages make the fact of looking for information much more easier than if we had to read all the whole forums.

Your website has been very useful for me,

As far as I know you can only install *.jar, *.mkpg, *.pkg and *.lin in your A780. The *.sis files can only be installed in a symbian based mobile phone and you have a linux based one .

cool one!!!... The more resources for knowledge sharing we have te better for all us.

Actually I am working in an A780 spanish site, actual status is just a phone intro section in my personal site. But a full independent site, howto - guide oriented, and software reviewing site is the target.

ftp is available, but connections are limited due to bandwith ftp.alexolivan.com

    Great site, congratulation ,

Can I ask you a question ? well anyway here it is :

I would like to put EditorE on my European(french)A780 with GPS (just to be able to switch copilot from 1 region to another without having to pass through a pc )

EditorE is a mpkg File, I have nothing more than the standard software
Could I just install it and then be able to see the hidden folder on the gsm memory ?

    Thanks in advance,

    Newsax
