    I've just totally bricked my A780 last Thursday--while flashing--power outage--black out. cry
    Even the boot-loader won't come up.
    Any idea what phone to replace? // or way to get it working again: JTAG works?

    Try inserting the battery while doing the Bootloader Keycombo.
    It is a bit difficult with just two hands

    @swifty
    Does it have such different "behavior" whether the battery's already been inserted or no?
    // I hope it works, thanks for the advice

    Specifically, I'd like to add speaker independant voicedial over bluetooth, GPS and WiFi connectivity.
    Can anyone suggest a good phone to replace my A780 with? I like the clamshell design and the external keypad.

    Thanks,

    I just got a Palm Pre and I am very satisfied with it. I will never buy again a Motorola phone. Low quality, buggy firmware, no support from Motorola. Never again. The Palm Pre rulez!

    Yah, it might be true that nowadays Motorola sucks. Back then at 05/06, these Moto rules the world! Sooner or later we have to move to newer technology, yet it's nothing wrong to keep alive these memories. On top of that--it isn't merely because Moto phones we are here at MotorolaFans--it's the community which make us a **big** family.
