How do you find out the country of origin?

There seem to be various countries mentioned with all the firmwares, Taiwan, Hong Kong, China, Germany... how do you tell where your phone was built? Could this be why my phone won't connect to T-Mobile after a reflash?

I don't have the answer to the problem you spoke of but I just bought a new A780 and I cant get the browser to work. I have the phone connected to the t-mobile system but the browser wont work. Can you help me. What does it mean to reflash. I am a newbie also.

Mine says, "Made in Singapore" under the battery.
